Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 August 2026

Draft. Section 4 in particular needs professional review before FRACTA takes real payments.

1. Who these terms are with

fracta.uk is operated by [LEGAL NAME] of [ADDRESS]. Using the site means accepting these terms.

2. What FRACTA currently is

FRACTA is in development. The app has not launched. The site describes what is being built. Anything marked “planned” or “pending approval” does not exist yet, and we don't promise a date for it.

In particular, pulling in data from Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube, TikTok or Instagram depends on access those platforms have to grant us. We have not secured it, and it may never be granted.

3. Your account

  • Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into it.
  • Usernames are first come, first served. We may reclaim one that impersonates someone, is offensive, or is being squatted.
  • We can suspend accounts that break these terms, and will explain why unless doing so would compromise an investigation.

4. Founding Membership

Founding Membership is a one-off payment for a permanent badge, a founding number, and early access to FRACTA when it launches. Each tier is capped; once full, it's full.

What you get

Exactly what that tier's page listed when you bought it. Where a perk references a feature that doesn't exist yet, you're buying early access to it if and when it ships — not a guarantee that it will.

Cancellation

As a UK consumer buying online you normally have 14 days to cancel and get a refund, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

To cancel within 14 days, email admin@fracta.uk from the address on your account. We'll refund the full amount to your original payment method within 14 days of being told. Your founding number returns to the pool.

[NEEDS LEGAL REVIEW: whether any part of this is treated as immediately-supplied digital content, and therefore whether an express waiver of the cancellation right is appropriate. Until that's resolved, we honour the full 14 days without exception.]

If FRACTA never launches

We think it will. But if development stops before launch, we'll email every founding member and refund anyone who bought within the previous [X] months. Being straight about this now matters more than the marketing.

5. Acceptable use

  • No harassment, hate speech or impersonation.
  • No uploading work that isn't yours to share.
  • No attempts to break, overload or probe the service. Responsible security reports are welcome and won't be treated as an attack.
  • No automated scraping without written permission.

6. Your content

Anything you upload stays yours. You give us the permission needed to host and display it within FRACTA, and nothing beyond that. We do not claim ownership of your music, and we will not license it to anyone else.

7. Liability

FRACTA is provided as-is. We don't limit liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud — nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer. Otherwise our liability for any claim is limited to what you've paid us in the previous 12 months.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes never apply retrospectively to a Founding Membership already bought.

9. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
